Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift for your book club gals or just feel like getting crafty for the holidays, these mini wine glass painted ornaments are so fun to work on! The mini wine glasses from Consumer Crafts are only 4.75″ tall so they also work great as special custom gift tags. Who wouldn’t love to have a super cute mini wine glass ornament?!
Supplies need to make your own mini wine glass painted ornaments:
- Wine Glass Christmas Ornament
- Glass Craft Paint
- Red/White Striped Ribbon
- Various Paint Applicators
Step 1. Begin by deciding what design you want to paint on your mini wine glass ornament. If you’re having a hard time figuring out what to paint, you’re more than welcome to copy my designs or search online for other ideas you like. If you’re working with words, you might find it useful to make a template and insert it into the glass to trace. Also, paint sponges make perfect circles and washi tape makes nice crisp lines.
Step 2. Once your painted ornament design is done and completely dry, use a fine paint brush to customize with your gift recipient’s name. Follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions for setting the paint permanently.
Step 3. You can either use the string that comes with the ornament or cut and replace with a strip of decorative ribbon. Love this red and white striped ribbon from Consumer Crafts!
Step 4. Your mini wine glass painted ornaments are ready and can either be hung on a tree or attached to a wrapped present!
Whether you’re using these on a tree or a present (or both), you’re going to have tons of fun designing and creating these mini wine glass painted ornaments!
They’re so inexpensive to make that you could totally give these to your co-workers or as teachers’ gifts too. Don’t forget to make one for yourself though!

The link for the wine glass ornament goes to Consumer Crafts, and the message says the page was removed. I could not find the ornaments anywhere on their sight, and I’m having trouble finding them anywhere. Do you know where I could buy them?
Hi Sue, Sorry it looks like that item was discontinued on the Consumer Crafts website. I removed the link from the tutorial. I bet if you did a google or Amazon search you would be able to find similar ornaments out there!
Did anyone find these elsewhere?
They are adorable, and you did a really good job making them that way. Thank-you for sharing …..
