If you have five minutes, and five dollars, you too can have your whole house decked out for Valentines Day!
This cute bunting was so easy, it felt like cheating.
I made a bunch of them, with minimal (and inexpensive!) supplies. The kids can even crank these out for you!
All you need to make a Valentine bunting is a few supplies:
- Paper Doilies (I used the 5.5″ size)
- Felties Valentines Day Stickers
- 3/8″ grosgrain ribbon (I used pink)
- Red Ribbon
- Hot glue gun/gluesticks
Open your ribbon spool up, and begin by pulling out a length of ribbon measuring how long you would like your banner to be.
Then, open your package of doilies, and begin folding them in half.
Sandwich your doily over the ribbon- make sure to leave a length of ribbon on both sides of the banner for the banner to tie.
Using your trusty hot glue gun, run a bead of glue down the ribbon in the middle of the doily fold.
Fold the top part of the doily over the glue to secure it. Add a small drop of hot glue to the bottom of the doily to secure the bottom half.
Leave space between each doily.
Keep gluing until you cover your length of ribbon.
Now grab your package of Felties.
I was pleasantly surprised at how detailed these felt stickers were for the price! People are going to think you crafted for hours, when in fact…
STICK! That’s it! It really does feel like cheating!
To finish the bunting off, I added knots of ribbon to each doily “between” space.
You could use this same tutorial to make custom bunting. Just switch out the ribbon color, and Felties stickers.

Once you see how easy it is, you will be cranking these banners out for any old reason you can come up with.
Definitely something to “LOVE” for Valentine’s Day!
