With the holiday season upon us, now would be a great time to start stocking up on your favorite craft supplies. I used the Darice poinsettia die cuts to make this DIY Christmas banner but definitely will be using it for all kinds of Christmas projects to come! Let’s get started…
- Darice Poinsettia Die Cuts.
- Core’dinations Core Essentials Darks 6 x 6 Paper Pack.
- Americana Milk Chocolate Brown Gloss Enamels.
- Cappuccino Baker’s Twine.
- Sew Easy Needles.
- Wood Circle Pennant Banner Set.
- 2.5 inch Burlap Ribbon.
- Martha Stewart Crafts Glue Writing Pen.
- Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad.
- Core’dinations Sand It Set.
Step One. Use craft dies and die cutting machines to cut flowers from desired cardstock. I went with traditional colors but you’re more than welcome to try something different!
Step Three. Add detail to paper pieces by sanding the pieces with the Core’dinations Sand It Set. I love how the patterns really pop after this step!
Step Four. Add a bit of a vintage look by detailing the edges of both the paper flower parts and wood circles with an ink pad. Allow to dry completely before moving onto next step. You’re almost there!
All that’s left to do is hang your poinsettia DIY Christmas banner on a wall or doorway that needs a little Christmas cheer! With so many Consumer Crafts holiday themed craft dies to choose from, this project could easily be customized to fit any decor or style.
