Looking for fun Christmas crafts for kids? Today my 3 year old and I are sharing how to make these super easy DIY wreath ornaments. Not only are these fun for the kids to put together, but they are easy to assemble and are a great craft for kids of all ages. These are great for elementary or preschool class parties! With just a few supplies and some willing helpers, you’ll have the ornaments made in no time.
Supplies needed to make your own wreath ornament Christmas crafts for kids:
- 25mm Christmas Green Starflake Beads
- 8mm Faceted Plastic Beads
- Scissors
- 1/8″ Red Satin Ribbon
- Green Pipe Cleaners
Step 1. You’ll start by gathering a pipe cleaner, snowflake beads, and sifting out the red color from the faceted plastic beads.
Begin by threading a red bead on the pipe cleaner followed by 3 green snowflake beads.
Step 2. You’ll repeat the process with the beads until you’ve added on “7” sections of snowflake beads (21 snowflake beads in all). You’ll finish off with a red bead. You can also make these ornaments larger or smaller depending on how many snowflake bead bunches you add.
Step 3. Next you’ll twist the two ends of the pipe cleaner together and wrap it around itself tightly one time.
Step 4. At this point, an adult may need to step in and help finish off the Christmas crafts for kids ornament. Trim off excess pipe cleaner.
Step 5. Trim off about 10″ of red ribbon and tie it around pipe cleaner to add a hanger for the wreath.
Now you’ve got a super cute and easy wreath ornament!

They were really cool and not corny like the other 8mm beads just by themselves
These are adorable! I went right out to the local craft store to get supplies to make these with my grandchildren. I just put one together and it could not have been easier- or cuter!
