There’s something so fresh about Christmas trees and greenery around the holidays. Every year my family debates whether we should put up our fake Christmas tree or just get a real one. I always want a real one, but it’s nice to switch it up every couple of years. This year, I really want to do more natural decorations including pretty greenery. I was able to achieve the look I wanted with these super easy DIY filled ornaments. I could have used real greens too, but it’s kind of nice that I don’t have to worry about them dying or turning moldy. Also, they still look pretty real to me! Follow along to see how simple it is to make these greenery-filled ornaments.
Supplies needed to make your own greenery DIY filled ornaments:
- Clear Ornament Bulbs
- Assorted Faux Greenery such as:
- Eucalyptus Bush
- Whitewashed Pine Bush
- Pine Spray
- Hemlock Spray with Pinecones
- Pinecone Picks
- Jute Twine
- Wire Cutters
Step One. Cut your branches to just a little bit bigger than the actual ornaments themselves. Then carefully push them inside the clear ornament bulbs. Place ornament caps back on.
Step Two. Add twine or string to your ornament tops.
And that’s it! Your pretty DIY filled ornaments are now ready to be hung. Add them to your Christmas tree or hang them throughout your house for a fun and fresh holiday touch.
I really love the simplicity and freshness of these ornaments. You could even add little animals or fake snow to make it even more enchanting.
