Ready for a 5 minute Christmas craft that costs about $5 to make? I’ve got you covered!
These adorable little glitter striped cube clear glass ornaments are SUPER simple to make and can be a fun craft for adults and older children alike! Join me as I walk you through the simple how-to!
Supplies needed to make your own glittered clear glass ornaments:
- Clear Glass Ornaments (I used these Cube Ornaments, but they are currently out of stock for the season.)
- 1/4 inch Double-Sided Tape
- Glitter of your choice (extra fine works best, but any color/thickness is great!)
- Microbeads Glitter (I added on a few larger microbead glitters for interest as well!)
Attach your first bit of tape by removing ONE SIDE of the double sided tape and wrap around the cube once.
Then take off the other side of the tape before starting to criss-cross the tape.
Your cube will look like this:
Once you have a cube full of tape, it is time to break out the glitter!
Simply sprinkle extra fine glitter over the top of the clear glass ornaments, making sure to coat all areas of exposed tape.
For “thicker” glitter, you might need to pat the glitter onto the tape gently.
Glitter will cover both the tape and the “static-ey” glass ornament.
Simply blow the extra glitter off the glass gently and it will stay put on the tape!
You can probably MAKE a set of these in the time it took you to read this tutorial!
These cute ornaments would make a great handmade holiday gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list!
Merry Christmas and happy crafting!
