I really love gift giving around Christmas time – I love it all year, but I really go all out for the holidays. It’s so much fun to wrap a gift and pick out a gift topper or fun gift tag to make it more festive. I can never seem to do the same tags every year because it’s fun to come up with new ones. This year I tried embossing for the first time and was surprised to find how easy it was. These DIY Christmas gift tags took me about 10 minutes to make and they each turned out so cute!
With the Sizzix holiday bundle, there are so many fun options like snow flakes, holiday greetings, ice skaters and more! I had a hard time deciding which ones to make. You can also cut out designs with the Sizzix which is so cool to have both options. I decided to just try out the embossing for now. It’s almost like magic after it comes through the little machine.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY Christmas Gift Tags:
Step 1. First, pick out a design you want to emboss. Cut your paper so it fits inside of the embossing folder.
Step 2. Send your paper and embossing folder through Sizzix machine.
Step 3. Cut around the designs to make them into gift tags. I also did some tree tags and cut them as tags. Then hole punch the tops of them so you can add in string.
Now tie them on brown paper packages and you’re ready to give your gift! This is seriously such an easy gift tag to make and something you can whip up last minute. I love the simplicity and beauty of each one. You could even use them as ornaments or you could use them to make garland. The snowflakes particularly would make a darling little garland. What would you use them for?
