Christmas cartoons are one of my favorite family traditions. I don’t care how many times I have seen “The Grinch” or “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” I am always excited to curl up in a blanket with my kids each year and enjoy that time together. Today’s craft is one that is going to be a family favorite. It is in honor of the sad Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. The tree that doesn’t display its full potential until Linus lovingly wraps his blanket at the base of the tree. Follow along to learn how to create your own DIY Charlie Brown Christmas tree!
- 23 inch Mixed Pine Spray with Cones
- 2.5 x 11 inch Wood Slats
- 8 inch Foam Ball
- Red Christmas Ornament Pick
- Blue Plush Polyester Fleece (a small piece (1/4 yard or so)
Begin with the hardest part of this project. You will need to cut one of the wooden slats. The pieces don’t need to be even. You will just need two pieces to level out the bottom of your tree stand.
Adhere the two smaller pieces to the ends of one of the full sized slats.
Insert the tree pick.
Attach a red ball ornament to the topmost branch.
