Crocheting may seem intimidating for some people, but it’s actually not that hard. You have to learn a few basic stitches and the rest are just variations of them. This is a simple crochet bow project for beginners. You basically crochet a rectangle and then use yarn to gather the middle to make a bow. You can use the crochet bow to embellish hats or sweaters, make hair clips or bow ties, or as present toppers. For this project, I made a dual purpose bow. I am using my crochet bow as a present topper, but it is also a hairclip. I love the reuse of this.
- Yarn of your choice (I used Caron Simly Soft in Watermelon)
- Crochet Hook (I used H. The yarn you choose will tell you the recommended hook size)
- Hair Clip (optional, if you want to make a hair clip)
Wrap about 18 inches of yarn around the center of the bow and tie into a knot. The knot should have about 3 inches on one side and 15 inches on the other. Wrap the remaining yarn around to form the center of the bow.
