Hi Friends! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! We always do a little barbecue with friends and watch the fireworks. This will be my first Fourth here in Texas and I am excited! To prepare, I made these cute little patriotic party favor baskets.
Ever since I laid eyes on the David Tutera baskets, I knew I wanted to use them at my next summer party. They just scream summer to me for some reason. So I whipped up a few party favor baskets to put around my table this Fourth. You can personalize them if you wish or just throw a few chocolates in them to dress up a table.
Supplies needed to make your own party favor baskets:
- David Tutera Wood Favor Baskets
- Crinkle Cut Paper – Red & Blue
- Striped Paper Straws
- Red Jute or Ribbon
- Pom Poms & Washi Tape
- Stamps / Ink
- White Cardstock (optional)
- Hot Glue
Start by stamping your baskets with Happy Fourth. I have had these stamps for awhile and I think I use them for just about everything.
Add some crinkle cut paper and hot glue red jute or ribbon around the sides of the party favor basket.
If you want to personalize your basket, simply just cut a long rectangle from white cardstock. Then just cut out triangles at the end.
Fold in half and hand write your guest’s name. I glued mine to a red striped paper straw that I trimmed down. I used hot glue to make sure the name would stay.
I created some fun picks with the paper straws, washi tape, and pom- poms. Simply cut your straws to size and use hot glue to adhere the pom poms to the straw. The pom poms have a little glitter to them and remind me of fireworks.
Add a few chocolates or fill them with those Pop It’s Fireworks and set out on the table. These party favor baskets are a fun and personal addition to your Fourth of July Barbecue!

Such cute party ideas, simple and inexpensive, gotta love that. Where did you get the David Tutera baskets? They look sturdier than regular berry baskets. Anymore stores sell berries in the plastic containers, no more of those nice little cardboard/balsa wood baskets. Wish we were going to have party or go to lake for 4th. of July but might just make some decorations for front porch and inside.
Love it all, you gals are so talented. Always enjoy seeing what you’ve been up to. Keep up good work ok? Old gals like me enjoy making cute stuff, give to daughter and other people for their houses. Have great week
