In my book s’mores are the number one summertime dessert! There’s something so fun about roasting marshmallows in the backyard with the kids. I hope you enjoy s’mores as much as I do, because I have an easy DIY s’mores kit in a pail to share with you today! This s’mores kit makes the perfect hostess gift for those fun summertime parties!
Supplies needed to make your own s’mores hostess gift:
- Keepsake Tote
- Canvas Corp Burlap Flower
- Foam Adhesive Squares
- Washi Tape (I used the black with white polka dots)
- Plastic Treat Bags
- Graham Crackers
- Fun Size Hershey’s Bars
- Marshmallows
- Button (optional)
First things first, remove the label from the pail. I used vegetable oil and a napkin to remove any sticky residue, but you could also use Goo Gone.
I wrapped the graham crackers in a piece of parchment paper with a little bit of tape to hold it together. You could use a small clear bag but I think brown parchment paper is great for wrapping food gifts. I wanted the marshmallows to show through, so I used clear bags and washi tape to seal the bag. When filling the pail, I placed the graham crackers in first then added the fun size Hershey’s bars around the crackers.
I’m a big fan of reusing items when I can, so I made the flower removable in case the recipient would like to keep it. Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want this cute burlap flower? These Canvas Corp burlap flowers are so pretty! I can think of a lot of uses for them, especially in my fall decor. I also added a pearl button to the center with a small dab of hot glue.
To finish off the hostess gift pail, I added washi tape around the top rim of the can – mainly because I think washi tape makes everything cuter. 🙂
And there you have it – a super quick, simple and adorable hostess gift that any party hostess would love!
