Make this Fourth of July DIY burlap banner for your home this summer with just a few supplies from Consumer Crafts. Decorate your home for the summer holidays or use as a party banner at your Fourth of July bash. Either way, this fun burlap banner will be the hit of your decor.
- Burlap Triangle Flags (these are one per package).
- Red Craft Paint & Blue Craft Paint.
- Sponge Brush.
- White Felt.
- Star Printed from Computer.
- Sharpie Marker.
- Jute Cord.
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun.
Start by painting the triangles in red and blue with the sponge brush. I applied a thick coat of paint to each one to reach my desired color. You will need to let the triangles dry overnight before continuing on with this project.
Trace the star from the computer onto the felt with the Sharpie marker. Cut around each star carefully with the scissors. Don’t worry about the marker being on your finished star. Just turn it to the back when assembling.
Add the stars to each triangle with hot glue once the triangles have dried completely. Then add the triangles to the jute cord with hot glue as well. You can make this patriotic burlap banner as small or as large as you like just by adding on more burlap triangles. NOTE: I had to trim some of the triangles as the edges were ragged. Just use your scissors to trim.
I alternated the blue and red for my version, but you can make this project however you would like! If you love that 4th of July decor button tray in the picture below you can see how to make it by clicking here.
I added this Fourth of July DIY burlap banner to my mantle for some fun summer decor. If you don’t love the red, white, and blue in your home, be sure to make this one anyway for any summer parties you are hosting.
