If you have followed any of my tutorials on this site, you know that I have a hard time gifting (boring) cash or a (generic) gift card hastily stuffed into a card. I like a little more of a creative approach, it kind of makes up for the whole gift card thing. For Father’s Day I came up with a fabulous alternative – this DIY Father’s Day gift card toolbox.
My husband, dad, and my father-in-law are all pretty handy guys, so a toolbox was a good common denominator.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY Father’s Day gift card toolbox:
- Paper Mache Chest or Box
- Small 15mm Gold Brads (2 per chest)
- Mini 10mm Gold Brads (16 per chest)
- Glitter Silk Silvermist Cardstock
- Red Acrylic Paint
- Paper & Metal Gift Tags
- Silver Glitter Letter Stickers
Trim two (2) 1/2″x 12″ strips from your sheet of Glitter Silk cardstock.
A unique presentation for a “phone-it-in” kind of gift- but one that is sure to be well-received.
