One of my most favorite parts about summer is the influx of patriotic holidays. Here in the United States, we love to come together to be grateful for our great country and share our time celebrating those people who made it all possible. Decorating my home is one of the many ways that I love to get in the festive mood and this sweet “Land That I Love” patriotic printable and frame will make an excellent addition to this year’s decor!

Step One. Paint the entire face of the frame and around the edges with the white acrylic paint. The more coats you apply, the more opaque the finish will be. Let the paint dry completely.
Step Two. When the white acrylic paint has finished drying completely, use the painter’s tape to create stripes beginning at the bottom of the frame. Use a small piece of the painter’s tape to create a spacing guide to create even stripes.
When the painter’s tape stripes are in place, press the stars at the top of the frame. You can make them random or in a uniform pattern; it’s totally up to you! I chose to make my stars replicate the stars found on the American flag.
Step Three. Using a foam paint brush and the red acrylic paint, carefully fill in between the taped off lines. Add as many coats as needed to achieve the desired coloring of your stripes. I did two thick coats on mine.
Step Four. Use the blue acrylic paint and another foam paint brush to paint over the section of the frame with the stars. Once again, I used two thick coats to achieve my look. Let the paint dry completely before moving on.
Step Five. Very carefully peel the painter’s tape and the star stickers to reveal the finished frame. If needed, you can go back and touch up any bleeding paint or scratches that may have occurred.
Step Six. Trim around the edges of the print and place it in the frame. Display your patriotic printable and frame proudly!
