One of my favorite things about springtime is the crazy amount of bunny-themed decorations! It seems like lately, everywhere you look, there’s a bunny or two brightening your day. If you’re crazy about all the rabbit decor like I am, you’re going to love this spring craft bread board art tutorial. What’s not to love? The supplies are minimal, it comes together quickly, it’s easy to customize, and best of all? This spring craft project has tons of bunnies!
- Bread Board Plaque
- 3.5 inch Wood Rabbit Cutouts (12)
- Americana® Decor™ Chalky Paint in:
- E-6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive
- Fine Tooth Fret Saw
Step One. Layout the bunnies in a pleasing pattern. I placed mine all facing the same direction but you could also try alternating directions on each row or have them facing each other. Totally up to you!
Step Two. Paint a couple of layers of Everlasting White Chalk Paint on the bread board. While drying, paint the bunnies in the three different pastel chalk paint colors. Another option would be to glue the bunnies in place and then paint, which would probably cut down on the paint chipping but it would be harder to paint each a different color. Not sure which is better!
Step Four. Use a fine toothed fret saw to trim off the excess wood pieces. Depending on your carpentry skills (which I’m seriously lacking!), you may have to go back over and touch up with the chalk paint.
