Spring is here! Spring is here! I am so egg-cited (see what I did there?) to start decorating my home for spring! I am a firm believer that rainbows are perfect for all holidays, and Easter and spring time is no exception. Especially pastel rainbow DIY Easter decorations with gold speckles. This DIY rainbow Easter egg mantel is such a simple project (it is literally just painting wood eggs) but wow oh wow does it make a huge impact! So much so that I am contemplating where else I can add these gold speckled eggs in my home. Ha!
Supplies to make your own rainbow DIY Easter decorations:
- Wooden Easter Eggs (I used 6 sets for my mantel)
- Acrylic Craft Paint in a Rainbow of Colors (since it is spring, I went with pastels)
- Gold Acrylic Paint
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Small Bristle Brush
As I mentioned, the process is really straight forward. Just use the foam brushes to paint the wood eggs in an assortment of pastel colors then let dry. Once dry, use a small paint brush and the gold metallic paint to flick small amounts of gold paint onto the eggs.
Let dry once more, and then they are ready to perch on top of your mantel. Don’t worry if you don’t have a mantel, these cuties look great on a shelf along with a few bunnies too!
However you choose to make them and display these gold speckled rainbow Easter eggs, one this is for certain. They are a quick and easy afternoon project that will get your home ready for spring in a snap.
