Aren’t today’s sweet and easy treat bags just darling?
The pastel colors of Easter and Spring are my favorite! After a gray and gloomy winter, I am more than ready for happy pops of color!
The oval “egg” shaped window are pre-made on the treat bags I used. I was so happy to find them! They make perfect grass-sitting Easter eggs.
Supplies needed to make your own easy treat bags for Easter:
- Candy Favor Bags with Window
- Oh So Trendy Striped Ribbon (or other ribbon of your choice)
- SweetWorks Shimmer Sixlets Candy
- Lime Green Cardstock
Let’s get busy with these easy treat bags for Easter!
Cut bright green cardstock into 1.5×2.75″ pieces. (One for each treat bag that you are making.)
Fringe the cardstock pieces to make them look like Easter grass.
Add a strip of adhesive to the bottom of each treat bag.
Add the cardstock pieces, making sure that they are flush to the bottom of the bags and centered.
Crinkle the “grass” to give it texture.
Open the treat bags, and add your selected candy. I used sixlets here, but any small candy will be darling! Gumballs, lemon heads, even colored popcorn!
Add holes on each side of the top of the treat bag.
String ribbon through the punched holes.
Tie the ribbon into a bow, and trim the ends.
You could add a cute tag to the ribbon bow if you wanted.
Repeat for as many easy treat bags that you need!
This is such a perfect little surprise treat for a neighbor, co-worker, friend or family member that you are thinking about.
Or just a darling addition to add to an Easter basket.
