One of the main reasons I decorate for holidays is because it brings a lot of joy to my children. They love coming home from school to see new decor for an upcoming holiday. I think it helps build their anticipation for special days. This is one of the reasons I absolutely love easy holiday crafts my kids can help me make. This simple felt bunny DIY Easter garland is adorable and so easy. I made one for my open kitchen shelving and let my kids each make one for their bedrooms.
Here’s a little peek at the DIY Easter garland hanging on my kitchen shelf.
Isn’t it cute? It adds a fun, whimsical pop of color and to me it looks like the little bunnies are frolicking and hopping along. And I love that the bunnies have little pom pom tails. It’s such a cute detail.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY Easter garland:
I chose to keep this project as simple as possible, so to make my garland, I peeled away the sticker backing a little bit, stuck the baker’s twine on, then pushed the paper backing back into place over the twine, like this:
This creates a one-sided garland that’s perfect for hanging on walls or shelves or dressers. If you’d like to create a two-sided garland that looks good from both sides, find the bunnies that are mirror image shapes. Peel off the sticker backing, then place the baker’s twine onto one side. Carefully line up the other bunny shape and press it onto the other side, sandwiching the twine in between.
Wouldn’t this cute bunny DIY Easter garland also be a great Easter party decoration? I can picture it strung above a dessert table.
I just love how this simple craft project came together. Sometimes it doesn’t have to be complicated to be cute.
Add this burlap carrot craft garland and you’ve got the cutest spring and Easter decor around!
