Some days you want to spend hours working on a beautiful wreath, other days you want to finish as soon as possible. This easy spring bunny Easter wreath DIY tutorial is the perfect project if you’re looking for a quick craft that will look adorable on your door!
Supplies needed to make your own Easter wreath DIY project:
- 16 Inch Metal Wreath Form
- White Marabou Feather Boas (5)
- Felties Hot Pink Glimmer Felt
- Hot Temp Glue Gun
Step One. To begin this Easter wreath DIY tutorial you’ll use a sharp pair of scissors to carefully cut out two ear-shaped pieces of pink felt. Mine were about 10″ tall but you’re more than welcome to make them any size you’d like. Working a small section at a time, use the hot glue to attach the feather boa around edges. Make sure to leave a small section at the bottom free of glue and feathers to attach to wreath at in the next step.
Step Two. Fold that flap I mentioned in the last step over the wreath wire and secure in place with a large amount of glue. Be careful you don’t burn yourself!
Step Three. Once the glue has hardened completely and the ears are securely in place, begin wrapping the boa around the wreath. I secured the end with a small knot first and then wrapped over it to conceal. Depending on how many boas you bought, you may have to play around a bit with the spacing. Wrapping the boa tightly will give you a fuller effect but if you’re worried you won’t have enough, spacing them out looks fine too!
Step Four. Continue wrapping around the entire wreath form, taking care around the ears to cover completely. Secure end with a knot.
And that’s it! This Easter wreath DIY project is so easy you could even have a young child help you wrap the boas around the wire wreath. I prefer my wreaths on the minimal side but you could also add a bright plaid bow or bow-tie if you’d like some embellishments. Hope you have a wonderful Spring!
