Are all kids crazy about window clings or is it just mine?! When I came across a pack of Grafix Cling Film on Consumer Crafts, I instantly thought of all the fun homemade Halloween decorations I could make this season, as well as ideas for other upcoming holidays too. Pumpkins for Halloween, snowmen and snowflakes for winter, hearts for Valentine’s Day… The list could go on and on!
When making these homemade Halloween decorations, you can either design your own or use our free downloads, found here: (pumpkin, features). The Grafix Cling Film comes in sheets of 9×12 so, depending on your printer, you may have to trim them before printing. My favorite part about this cling film is the printable backing so you can just print the designs right on the paper and cut them out!
Using a sharp pair of scissors (Cutter Bee Scissors are some of my favorite!), cut out the pumpkin and features. If you want, you can also cut out a stem and some vines. Totally up to you!
I surprised my kids by just sticking this pumpkin up and waiting for them to discover it. They were absolutely thrilled when they came upon a fresh pumpkin waiting to be decorated! They had so much fun making different faces for the pumpkins using my variety of features that I provided. This is a great alternative to pumpkin carving if you want to err on the side of caution! No little ones will get hurt playing with these fun homemade Halloween decorations!
One little hint, wipe down the hard surface with a damp cloth if you have any problems with the window clings not sticking.
Now that you can make your own homemade Halloween decorations, what window clings are you planning on making? We’d love to hear your ideas!
