Want to decorate your Thanksgiving table in the easiest and cutest way possible? Why not make a bunch of these free Thanksgiving place cards? Just print and assemble! The 3D designs are so easy to make and can be customized with stickers to spell out each guests name. And not only that, they sit upright on your guests plate, so that they know just where to sit and it looks like real food perched on their plate. So fun!
Supplies to make your own free Thanksgiving Place Cards:
- 5″ by 7″ Blank White Greeting Cards
- Gold Letter Stickers
- These Printable Templates (Drumstick, Cherry Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Corn)
Begin making your free Thanksgiving place cards by printing out the templates above onto your blank greeting cards. Be sure to size your print outs to 7″ wide by 10″ tall so that the template prints correctly on the greeting card fold.
Once printed, cut out the image leaving the fold between the two mirrored images uncut (this is where you will fold the place card in half). Once cut, use the scrap paper to cut a 1″ wide by 3″ long piece of paper and tape one end on the inside of one of the images on the bottom, and the other side on the inside of the other image. This will create an “easel like” structure inside to keep the place card standing upright on the plate and prevent it from falling flat open.
Once the place cards are cut, use letter stickers to spell out each guests name. If you have really good penmanship, you can also use a brush lettering pen to hand letter each guests name.
I love how the images leap off the plate. It is such a cute way to let each guests know where to sit for their Thanksgiving meal. Now tell me, what is your favorite food to eat at Thanksgiving?
