As my children are getting older, it’s become increasingly important to my husband and I that we make it a point to help our kids understand how much they have to be thankful for in their lives. By creating our own thankful DIY Thanksgiving wall display, we were able to include them in the process and have a daily reminder to all of us about how blessed we truly are.
- Chicken Wire Frame with Chalkboard Top
- White Cardstock
- Colored Cardstock
- Printer & Pen
- 1 inch Wood Clothes Pins
- Cricut Explore or Scissors
- Chalk Marker
- Standard Chalk
- Printable Thankful Header
Step One. Print the Printable Thankful Header file on standard copy paper. Trace the image with the standard chalk.
Use the chalk marker to trace the image on the chalkboard. If you’re worried about making a mistake, try this erasable chalk marker!
Step Four. If you have a Cricut Explore, you can use THIS CUT FILE to cut the leaves for the wall display onto the colored cardstock. If you don’t own an electronic cutting machine, you can print these Printable Thankful Leaves on to the cardstock and use the scissors to hand cut out each leaf.
I’m loving how this DIY thanksgiving hanging looks with this gold foil polka dot pumpkin! Start crafting today!
