Fall is such a wonderful time. The season is full of fun holiday fun between dressing up and Halloween festivities. Then comes Thanksgiving. To me it is the perfect holiday to go between Halloween and Christmas. It helps us to slow down and remember what is most important in life and prepare us for the wonderful season of Christmas. This thankful craft wreath is perfect to hang during the Thanksgiving season inside or outside. I love having the opportunity to reflect on what I’m thankful for and the blessings that I have in my life.
Supplies needed to make your own thankful craft wreath:
- Cherry Wood Sheet
- 14 inch Embroidery Hoop
- Accent Leaves
- Acorns
- Yarn
- Gold Paint
- Thankful Image (you can download a jpeg, svg, or silhouette file)
First wrap your yarn around your embroidery hoop until it’s completely covered.
Next, paint a thin layer of gold on different color of leaves and onto acorns.
Then start hot gluing the leaves onto the wrapped embroidery hoop. After, hot glue the acorns
Once you download the thankfuls, cut out thankful onto the cherry wood sheets using your cutting machine. Place the adhesive cut out on black card stock and cut around the edges.
If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can also print off the thankful on card stock and cut around the edges and place on a contrasting card stock. Glue the thankful to the wreath and hang on your wall or front door.
As you hang this thankful craft wreath in your house and remember what you are thankful for. This wreath can be hung up all fall. You can even hang it above a chalkboard and make a list of all the things that you and your family are thankful for. Then everyday you can review what matters most with your family and fill your home with a feeling of Thanksgiving.
