Autumn is quickly approaching and it means it’s pumpkin spice season! Personally I don’t like the taste of pumpkin spice, but I love how it smells and how it reminds me of the cool fall weather! This easy DIY teaches you how to create a simple pumpkin spice lip balm recipe that is surely reminiscent of the favorite fall staple – see how I made it and create your own.
Supplies needed to make your own pumpkin spice lip balm recipe:
- Beeswax Pellets
- Shea Butter
- Sweet Almond Oil (or any carrier oil)
- Clove Essential Oil
- Ginger Essential Oil
- Cinnamon Essential Oil
- Nutmeg Essential Oil (or ground nutmeg as a substitute)
- Glass Measuring Cup
- Lip Balm Tubes
Step 1. For this lip balm recipe, add two tablespoons of each: sweet almond oil (or any carrier oil you prefer to use), beeswax and shea butter. Melt in the microwave for about 1 minute and stir to completely melt the beeswax pellets. If you are using beeswax in a bar form, note that it will take longer to melt.
Step 2. Once melted, add your essential oils. I used 2 drops of ginger, 4 drops of cinnamon and 3 drops of clove. If you have nutmeg essential oil, add that in as well, but if not you can always use a pinch of ground nutmeg instead.
Step 3. Working quickly but carefully, pour your melted mixture onto lip balm tubes, and let stand to dry, around 5-10 minutes.
And you are done! These pumpkin spice lip balm recipe is so fun and easy to make and the perfect tiny little gifts for your friends or co-workers who love pumpkin spice everything! Are you team pumpkin spice?
