The holidays will be here before we know it, and that means dinners, parties and impromptu get-togethers with family and friends. If you’re like me, you like to pamper your hostess with a little something for all her efforts in putting together a fun gathering. Flowers and wine might be a little more the norm, but the wine is usually shared with the other guests, and let’s face it, flowers die! So why not gift the hostess with some pumpkin pie DIY sugar scrub she can enjoy all to herself?
Supplies needed to make your own pumpkin DIY sugar scrub:
- Mini Glass Jars with Lids
- Clear Plastic Candy Scoop
- Vanilla Abbey & Sullivan Fragrance Oil
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup White Sugar
- ¼ cup Grapeseed Oil (you can also use Olive Oil or Coconut Oil)
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
In a large mixing bowl, measure out ¾ cup Brown Sugar.
Stir in ½ cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and then mix thoroughly.
Add about 10 drops of the Abbey & Sullivan Vanilla Fragrance Oil. You can adjust this amount based upon your personal preference. At this point in the recipe you’ll be drooling and want to take a big bite because it will smell so yummy!
Pour ¼ cup of Grapeseed Oil over the sugar and pie spice mix, and stir until well moistened. You can eyeball the amount of oil, slowly drizzling in more if needed.
Once you have everything mixed together really well, it’s time to spoon the DIY sugar scrub into your jars.
I added a little bit of baker’s twine to each, and tied a little tag that says “thankful” to each. But you could add a that says “pumpkin pie sugar scrub,” “grateful,” or anything you’d like!
Now that you have your pumpkin pie sugar scrub hostess gifts all packaged up, it’s time to find a party to take them to! And note to self, you might want to keep a jar (or three!) for yourself. Not only does the sugar scrub smell divine, but it will leave your skin glowing and super soft too!
I can and will do this gifts
Tks much
