If you are looking for an inexpensive but pretty freaking cute Halloween treats DIY party favor – I’ve got you. Follow along to learn how to make these creepy-cute candy spiders!
Supplies needed to make your own spider Halloween treats DIY:
- 6 inch Black Tulle Netting
- Black Chenille Stems
- 1/8 inch Black Double Faced Ribbon
- Movable Eyes
- Sixlets or Other Candy
- Glue Dots
Full disclosure: Clearly I used a different candy for my treat spiders. But I think black Sixlets (link above) would be *perfect.*
Measure out about 1/4 cup of candy per spider. Trim tulle net to about 12″ in length.
Lay three chenille stems evenly underneath the candy. If you want to be correct, use four stems. I was going for inexpensive/ mass production here. My spiders only have six legs.
Make a packet with the tulle. Roll it over the candy until it is secure. Keep it tight.
Tie the end off with a section of ribbon.
Tie the excess ribbon into a bow if you would like cute female looking spiders. If not, you can simply tie a knot and cut the ends.
Pinch the other end of the tulle, keeping the candy as tight as you can. Tie with ribbon.
Bend the chenille stem ends into spider legs.
Using glue dots, adhere some wiggle eyes to your spider.
Repeat for as many treat friends as you would like!
This Halloween treats DIY is perfect for school class parties, scout groups, or special trick-or-treaters!
Halloween or not, these Halloween treats DIY are the only spiders I can tolerate!

Adorable and also the only cute spider I have ever seen. I will take this idea to the retirement home where I help with doing crafts. Thank you.
