Halloween is definitely starting to creep (ha!) up on my list of favorite holidays to decorate and DIY for. These Halloween party craft severed finger place card holders are my first Halloween DIY of the season and I am both creeped out by them and totally excited for Halloween all at the same time! I think the creep factor comes not only from their realistic look, but also from their subtlety. They are a definite must make for your Halloween dinner party!
Supplies needed to make your own Halloween party craft fingers:
The process is really pretty simple. Just shape the clay into finger like shapes using a pin or x-acto knife to cut the lines and finger nails. Once your fingers are made, use the x-acto knife to slice about 3/4 of the way into the finger in a line for your place card. Bake the clay on a flipped over baking sheet at 275F for 15-20 minutes. Then remove from the oven and let cool.
Once your fingers are cooled, feel free to add a bit of blood red acrylic paint to the slice and severed ends, or leave them as is. When it’s time for your party, add your guests name to rectangular pieces of black cardstock. Or use them on your serving platters to distinguish all the ghastly food.
You can even add a longer fingernail and paint them green to look like witches fingers! This fun Halloween party craft has endless possibilites!
No matter how you make your DIY Halloween party craft severed finger place card holders, they are sure to scare party guests with their intense creep factor, and at Halloween, well, what more can you ask for?!
