Hello, readers! It’s Rena from thecheesethief.com. When paired together, candy and tissue paper allow you to make a variety of kids Halloween candy crafts that are so cute you won’t want to eat them. Read on to find out how you can make three easy candy crafts including a ghost, pumpkin and spider.
- Tissue Paper in Black, Orange, White
- Pipe Cleaners in Black, Green, White
- Sticky-Back Googly Eyes
- Black Construction Paper
- Double-Sided Tape Runner
- Candy (Lollipops and various other candy)
First up is our pumpkin. Take a small handful of candy and place the pieces onto a folded sheet of orange tissue paper. Wrap up the sides into a ball to make the pumpkin shape and use a green pipe cleaner to tie off the top of the pumpkin. Trim any excess tissue paper with scissors.
After your pumpkin is wrapped, grab a sheet of black construction paper and cut out jack-o’-lantern faces to glue onto the tissue paper. The kids can get very creative with this part by making a variety of faces.
Next up is our ghost lollipop. Take a sheet of white tissue paper and wrap it around the lollipop. Use a white pipe cleaner to secure the ghost head and keep the tissue paper in place – scissors can be used to cut any excess. After your tissue paper is secure, use black construction paper to cut out two oval eyes and add them to the lollipop with the tape runner.
Last is our creepy crawler. Start with a lollipop, black tissue paper and 4 pipe cleaners cut in half (to make 8). Using a folded sheet of tissue paper, wrap the lollipop all the way down to the end of the stick and secure the base using all 8 pipe cleaners. Stick your googly eyes to the top of the lollipop, adding as many as you want. I feel like a spider with more eyes creates an extra scary effect!
