I love Halloween and all the spooky decorations that come with it. Every year I try to add to my collection of Halloween decorations with a few new DIY projects. This year, I created a DIY creepy eyeball BOO sign that works perfectly displayed over my bar cart. Not only is it creepy and cooky, but it is pretty simple to make and only requires a few supplies.
- Large Paper Mache Letters (To spell out BOO or any other Halloween themed word you like.)
- Black Acrylic Craft Paint
- 1″ Durafoam Balls (I used 12 packs of 12, but feel free to use as many or as few as you like.)
- Black Sharpie
- Foam Paint Brush
- Craft Glue
Once the eyeballs are made, start painting the cardboard letters black (or feel free to make it your own and use another color such as pumpkin orange, hot pink, or slime green). You will want to paint the top, inside, and outside of all the letters. Allow the letters to dry and then glue your eyeballs in clusters around the letters to create a spooky effect. Let the glue dry and then you are ready to mount your custom Halloween eyeball BOO sign anywhere you like using sticky wall mounting squares.
I placed my DIY creepy eyeball BOO sign over my bar Halloween bar cart, (EYE see you EYEing my pumpkins! Ha!). I think it would also look fun strung up on the front door! What a fun way to greet trick-or-treaters!
As you can see the process is pretty painless, and I absolutely love the results. How fun would it be if you used glow in the dark paint for the eyes too? Talk about super creep factor! So tell me, do you love Halloween as much as me?
If you loved this creepy eyeball sign, you’ll get a kick out of this DIY Halloween monster wreath!
