One of my favorite parts of decorating for holidays is going over the top with decorations. Sure a few pumpkins or spider webs are fine for bringing in a little Halloween spirit, but if I had my way, all holiday decorations would be large show stoppers. However, cost usually becomes and issue for large scale decorations. Who wants to spend $100’s of dollars on decorations? Not me! If you are like me and want to go all out for Halloween but don’t have a ton to spend, not to worry, I have you covered. Today I will share how to create your own spooky black glitter flower DIY Halloween wall decorations for less than $10. Seriously!

Supplies needed to make your own DIY Halloween wall decorations:
- Black Crepe Paper Folds (each package will make roughly 2 large and one small flower)
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Silver or Black Spray Glitter
Begin by cutting your crepe paper folds into different sized petal shapes like you see above. The paper petal sizes will vary based on the flowers size you want to create, but these here range from 3″ to 10″ tall. You will need about 6 petals per size for each flower.
Beginning with the smallest petals, gently stretch the top of the petal with your fingers to create the crepe like wavy look of a real flower petal. Cut a cardstock circle.
Once all your small petals are stretched, add a bit of hot glue to the center of the circle and attach your first petal by bunching up the bottom.
Continue around the circle bunching and gluing the petals down until you have your the inner part of your flower complete.
Once you have finished the first set of petals, grab the next size up and repeat the process by gluing the larger petals under the first layer. Make sure to bunch the bottoms so that you get the petals to stand up like you see above.
Continue to add rings of petals around the flower until it is the size you like.
Once you have made all the flowers to fill your space, give them a little blast of glitter with the glitter spray paint.
The final step for these DIY Halloween wall decorations is the best. Use a thumb tack and mounting squares to attach the flowers to the wall however you like. I created a large flower swoop above my buffet in the dining room. Then added a few spider webs and glitter spiders for extra spookiness.
I can’t tell you how much these add to the space! And for such a little investment too! So, are you ready to create your own spooky black glitter flower DIY Halloween wall decorations yet?
