Put the fright and fun into Halloween with our google eye Halloween boo sign. This fun sign is easy to make and will look great in a Halloween display or outside your door greeting those trick or treaters. Order the supplies and make your own version today.
Supplies needed to make your own google eye Halloween boo sign:
- Boo Word Art Base
- Black Chalk Paint
- Metallic Google Eyes (I used about 6 packages)
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
- Paint Brush
Start by painting your boo word art with black paint. I only needed one coat of this chalky finish paint. Allow to dry completely before continuing.
In the meantime, open your packages of google eyes and begin to separate them by color. I did blue and aqua together. Yellow and green each received their own pile. Pink and purple were together was well.
Add the google eyes onto your project one at a time with a hot glue gun. Follow the shape of each letter and fill in with the various sizes of eyes. I love the metallic sheen on these eyes! It really sets off this project.
In the end, I was left with a great sign….that had glue strings all over it! Pick as many off as you can with your fingers and melt the rest with a hair dryer. Be careful as the hair dryer will also melt the plastic on the google eyes.
Once complete, add your Halloween boo sign to your spooky decor.
The colorful sign is perfect for scaring those trick or treaters. Put this Halloween boo sign on your porch on the big night.
This is an easy craft project but it might take you a bit to actually make it. Sticking all of those individual google eyes takes a while. Watch your fingers as this is one project that might cause some hot glue gun burns. It is worth it to get your very own Halloween boo sign!

I made a project with regular white googly eyes, and the hot glue melted some of them. Did you have that issue?
Hi Anna, next time use a low temp glue gun.
Oh my gosh! I love it! My kiddo is really into Halloween decorations this year and its been hard finding things that she likes and is able to make. This will be perfect… thank you for the idea.

Love this! If you didn’t want to take off all the glue strings you could always just add some spiders to the ‘web’.
