This is a simple Easter to Card that will brighten anyone’s day. Let me show you how I made this using some of my favorite paper crafting products from Consumer Crafts.
- Core’dinations Cardstock (I used the So Mod Super Assortment pack)
- white cardstock
- Marvy Scalloped Square Punch
- Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge
- Buttons (from my stash)
- Embroidery Floss
- 3D Glue Dots
- Tape Runner
- Paper Trimmer
I started by cutting a 12×12 piece of Core’dinations cardstock in half. This left me with a 6×12″ piece of cardstock to use as the base of my card (this is the blue piece of cardstock). I folded that piece in half to create a 6×6 card. Then, I cut a 5 1/2 x5/12″ square of cardstock (this is the green piece). Next, using my scalloped square punch, I punched 4 scalloped squares out of white cardstock.
Next, I chose my images from the Doodlecharms cartridge. This is a great year round cartridge with cute images for every season.
I chose a bunny, an easter basket with eggs and a flower and I cut each of those images at 2″.
I then layered them on my scalloped squares using my tape runner to adhere each cut-out to my square. Next, I threaded embroidery floss through the holes of my buttons and added a button to the center of each flower. I adhered the buttons with a 3D glue dot. Finally, I adhered each square to the green 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″ square and then adhered that square to the card. Simple, quick and easy. You can also use this card layout and the Doodlecharms cartridge to make cards for every occasion of the year.
