Elementary through high school, I never remembered to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day so I was pinched throughout the day. It was the worst! I remember threatening bodily harm to the next classmate that mentioned pinching. Occasionally someone would show mercy and give me something green to wear. I thought I would extend that courtesy to my co-workers this year with this cute St. Patrick’s Day crafts pin, because no one is getting pinched on my watch! 🙂
- Paper Flag Punch
- Cardstock (I’ve found these Project Life cards to be indispensable for small crafts!)
- Gold Cord
- Gold Leaves
- Horseshoe Charm (these shamrock charms are also perfect)
- Adhesive Rhinestones
- Pin Back
- Mini Glue Dots
- Scissors & Small Hole Punch

Step 4: String the horseshoe charm on the gold cord. Step 5: Run the gold cord through the holes two more times and tie off the ends in a bow or messy knot.Step 6: Cut the stem off the gold leaf and adhere it to the back of the green flag.Step 7: Use a few more Glue Dots to attach the pin back to the gold leaf. I found that the Glue Dots hold up pretty well but for a stronger hold, use a glue like E-6000.Step 8: Add a green rhinestone to the front of the St. Patrick’s Day crafts pin and/or embellish any way you like!
Does preventing St. Patrick’s Day pinching count as my charity work for the month? Just kidding. 🙂 I wanted to put the pins on some kind of card to slip into my co-workers’ mailboxes so I created two different St. Patrick’s Day crafts cards.
