It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This year, I wanted to create a few Thanksgiving crafts with my daughter and give small gifts to the people we are thankful for in our lives. My mom is one of the people in my am most thankful for. She is always there for us and helps us out so much by taking care of my daughters while I’m working. I decided to create a “3D Card” for her and put the words “I’m Thankful For You” in it. My daughter wanted to fill the box with candy, but I think I’ll also add a small piece of jewelry in there for her also.
Supplies needed to make your own Thanksgiving crafts gift boxes:
- Small Jewelry Box
- Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine (optional)
- Stencils & Cutting Mat with Knife (if you do not have a cutting machine)
- Scrapbook Paper or Kraft Paper
- Glue Dots Roller
- Baker’s Twine & Tags (for gift wrapping)
- Small Candies/Gift
Cut the words out with your Silhouette machine. I used this stencil font so that the letters would still be intact. Then, carefully pull out the cutout letters.
If you do not have an electronic cutting machine, you can simply trace the letters with alphabet stencils and cut out with a cutting mat and craft blade.
I just love the way this looks already.
Cut out the banner to the width of your box.
Fold the paper banner into an accordion. Using the glue dots, attach one end of the paper banner to the bottom of the jewelry box and the other end to the top of the jewelry box.
Fill the Thanksgiving crafts gift boxes with gifts and treats as a token of how thankful you are that those special people are in your life.
To finish off your Thanksgiving crafts gift boxes, wrap up the boxes with bakers twine and add a tag.

Ingenious and oh so sweet! This could be used for so many special occasions or as a surprise to brighten someone’s day. I think I’ll send one to my granddaughter. It’s her junior year and she moved to a new town/school and really misses her classmates she had been with since kindergarten. Thanks for sharing!
Oh thank you for sharing this!! THis is absolutely perfect!!!
