My husband’s favorite candy are Reese’s Pieces and peanut butter cups. Every year on his birthday and Father’s Day, the kids give him a pack of Reese’s, which he always enjoys. This year, I thought we could make him a special bag to hold the Reese’s Pieces to switch things up. Using a white favor bag, scrapbook paper, and a free printable I was able to make a “Love you to pieces” gift in under 15 minutes.
Supplies needed to make a “Love you to pieces” DIY Father’s Day gift:
- White Favor Box
- Srapbooking Paper
- Mini Clothespin
- Silhouette Cameo (optional)
- “Love You to Pieces” Silhouette Download File (optional)
- Glue
*Note: If you do not have a cutting machine, you can easily duplicate this project by hand cutting the tag and mustache and handwriting the sentiment.
How cute are these white candy favor boxes? You can customize them for any party theme imaginable! I plan to use them for our Fourth of July party for individual s’mores kits.
To make the love you to pieces gift, Download and print the “Love you to pieces” Sillhouette file. I glued the printable tag onto the bag, but you could also use a clothespin or baker’s twine to attach it.
Using my Silhouette, I cut out a mustache from this mustache set, then used a mini clothespin to attach it to the bag. I should also mention that the bag seals on the back so the clothespin is just for fun.
And there you have it – a cute, simple way to dress up that special gift for dad!
So tell me, are you a fan of the mustache trend? I have to say it’s taken me awhile to jump on the bandwagon, but my kids think they’re hilarious!

Hi Sarah- I tried to DL the link to the file for the Love you to Pieces and it says it cannot be opened? I Just wanted to make sure that on your end its ok, maybe its my computer? Ok thanks!
Hi Juliet! The love you to pieces cut file is only downloadable if you have a Silhouette and Silhouette software. It is in the Silhouette format (.studio) so it will not open computers without the software. If you do not have a Silhouette, I would suggest hand cutting a paper banner and hand writing the love you to pieces message. Hope that helps!
