Looking for a super easy and fun Father’s Day card that you can customize for that special picture-loving dad in your life? This Instagram Father’s Day card is perfect for you! It only requires a few craft supplies and can be used year round to display sweet pictures of loved ones on his desk. Cute and functional? That’s my kind of project!
Supplies needed to make an Instagram Father’s Day Card:
- Darice Polaroid Picture Opening Embossing Folder.
- Core’dinations Chalk Core Chalkboard Cards.
- Embossing Machine.
- Core’dinations Sand It Set.
- Martha Stewart Crafts Retractable Craft Knife.
- Permanent Double Sided Tape Roller.
Step One. Use the Darice Polaroid Folder to emboss the front of the card. The image on the folder is slightly tilted. I decided to straighten it out to make it easier to insert a picture but feel free just to emboss it as is.
Step Two. Sand the embossed paper with the Sand It Gadget. Then use a sharp crafting knife to trim the inside of the embossed Polaroid image. Be careful with your fingers!
Step Three. Use the tape roller to apply adhesive around the embossed image. Make sure to leave the top open and enough room on the edges to slide a picture in.
Step Four. You can either leave the card as is or trim another blank card and adhere to the back as a stand.
An added bonus to the card stand is that you can easily write your Father’s Day message on it.
Step Five. All that’s left to do is insert your favorite square Instagram photo and give to that special dad in your life! I found that 3×3 was a pretty good size to fit inside the small frame.
Hope you enjoy making this Instagram Father’s Day card! Whether he’s an avid photography fan or an Instagram junkie, he’s sure to appreciate this card year round!
