The only thing that I look forward to with the autumn season coming is fall baking! I love filling my home with spicy smells, and warm heat from the oven.
I found the easiest recipe for three ingredient banana bread when browsing Pinterest. (Seriously, what did we do before Pinterest?!) I knew from the first bite that the recipe was a keeper, and wanted to share the deliciousness with some friends. Speaking of Pinterest- I can’t just give a friend a plain loaf of bread, right? It needs to be cute! I created some fun fall baking tags- that were as easy to make as the bread!
- Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered Cardstock
- Core’dinations Vellum Sentiments
- Clear Cellophane Bags
- Grosgrain Ribbon
- Extra Giga Scalloped Circle Punch
- Large Circle Punch
- Leaf Dies
- Standard Hole Punch
- Sand-it Gadget
Using a die cut, punch, or template- create leaves from the cardstock.
Using a bone folder, or embossing stylus create “veins” in the leaves by turning them over onto the backside on top of a mouse pad, and running the tool where the veins would appear on your leaves.
Select a sentiment for your fall baking gift from the Vellum Quotes collection. Trim the sentiment horizontally, and using scissors, create notched edges on both sides.
Center your sentiment over the top of the larger leaf, and attach it using staples.
Fold an 18″ length of ribbon in half and feed the loop through the hole in your tag.
Three Ingredient Banana Bread
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 large eggs
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Place batter evenly into three (3) greased mini loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
A fall baking gift that is easy on the eyes, and the taste-buds!
