I think it’s a custom around most Thanksgiving tables to say what you’re thankful for. It’s a great way to start dinner table conversation, but to keep it varied and all-inclusive, why not have pretty dinner conversation starters at every place setting?
A little embossed notecard with a question to ask everyone around the table is sure to help people learn more about each other. Whether it’s a close-knit family or multiple groups of friends around the table.
- Darice Embossing Folder (I used the Vine Pattern).
- Embossing Machine (I use a Sizzix Big Shot).
- Core’dinations Signature Series Cardstock.
- Sand It Gadget.
- White Cardstock.
- Glue Dots.
- Metallic Pen.
- Table Settings to Place Your Dinner Conversation Starters On.
Using my Big Shot, I embossed red Signature Series cardstock with the vines embossing folder.
You can be serious.
“What are you most thankful for?”
“What did you learn this year?”
“What are your hopes for next year?”
“What one thing would you want your children to learn from you?”
Or you can be light-hearted.
“What is your favourite book/movie/album and why?”
“What is your favourite side dish?”
“What is your most vivid childhood memory?”
“What is your biggest cooking disaster?”
You could even have your guests scribble out their questions prior to sitting down, if you’re feeling brave!
