Like I was saying earlier this week when I shared the embossed Valentine DIY cupcake toppers, I love to create something special and memorable for those I cherish around Valentine’s Day and a simple way to do that is to put together a special soiree to celebrate them and showcase all they mean to me. In my mind, there are a few key components to any party that can really make it pop: cupcake toppers (like the ones from the previous post), stand-out invites, and a few quality decor pieces. This embossed love banner is an easy way to pack that visual punch!
Supplies needed to make your own embossed LOVE banner:
- We R Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch Board
- Embossing Machine
- Mini Heart Embossing Folder
- Heart Punch
- 1/8 in. Hole Punch
- Red and White Cardstock
- Red and White Baker’s Twine
Step One. Using the alphabet punch board, cut one 3 in. x 5 in rectangle for each letter. The punch board comes with a booklet of instructions that will lead you exactly through the steps.
Step Two. Follow the directions within the punch board booklet to create each of the letters in LOVE. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, but be prepared that it might take a few tries to master it at first.
Step Three. Place one letter at a time inside the mini heart embossing folder and run it through the Sizzix Texture Boutique embossing machine.
Repeat until all of the letters have been embossed.
Step Four. Punch three hearts from the white cardstock.
Step Five. Punch two small holes at the top of each letter, four holes at the top of the V, and string the baker’s twine through each of the holes. Alternate the hearts in between each letter.
Hang your love banner wherever your heart pleases and enjoy showering your family and friends with a little extra Valentine’s love!
