Yesterday I previewed the Flower Pretty Pots Starter Kit. I was so anxious to try out these lovely colors and get some “spring” happening in the craft room! So I’m going to show you how I used the kit to make a fun Birthday card.
First, you’ll want to open a pot of Flower Soft and see exactly what we are dealing with! The instructions say to open the pot and dump some of it out in a different dish, then use your fingers to “fluff” the FS. Surprisingly, it was really compacted in there- there is a LOT of product in that pot!
I decided to start with embellishing a sentiment block. I cut it out from the cardstock sheet, and added some glue on the areas where I thought the flowery goodness should go:
I also added some FS to a card front & then layered it all up together.
Then I thought I’d play with the “pretty pots” idea, and build a 3-D flower urn. I cut out the pot and glued only the bottom 2/3 down around the edge, leaving the top and middle unstuck.
Then I bent one of the wires and added FS to the top to create long-stemmed flowers, and added them into the design:
My finished design looks like this:
Pretty cool, right? And Flower Soft comes in so many colors- both solid colors and mixes- that it will really add a lot to your cards, tags, and scrapbook designs.
