Are you working on whittling down your holiday shopping list? Well, let me help you cross a few gifts off that list. Today I have the perfect DIY gift for you to make – a free 2016 calendar printable. It’s easy, inexpensive, practical, quick and ADORABLE! Let’s get started.
- 2016 Calendar Printable (5×5 inch calendar, prints on six 8.5×11 pages)
- Copy Paper and/or White Cardstock
- Paper Trimmer or Scissors
- 5×5 Magnetic Acrylic Frame/5×5 Acrylic Frame Easel or Gold Cord (optional)
Step 1. Print this free 2016 calendar printable. I promised adorable and you will get it! The calendar pages are floral with a peachy pink and green color scheme – so cute.Step 2. Cut the calendar pages down to size – 5x5inches. If you are the kind of crafter who is super precise, you may want to know the margin sizes. It’s 1.75in on right/left and .5in top/bottom. That’s the excess paper you’ll need to cut off. It’s so easy to do this if you have a paper trimmer but scissors also work well.
Step 3. How should you package this small 2016 calendar printable for gift-giving? Well, I have two ideas!First, this 5x5in calendar fits perfectly in these acrylic frames – either one with an easel or the magnetic frame for a refrigerator.
The other way to gift this calendar is print it onto cardstock, punch holes in the top and use ribbon/string to create a hanger. I used this pretty gold cord. Now, this method means you have to rip out the pages as the year progresses. If you want to keep the pages, you could put them on binder rings instead.
Now tell us, how much of your holiday shopping list do you have left?
