I am working on organizing my kitchen and made this mason jar utensil caddy. This simple mason jar idea is perfect for organizing your large utensils on your counter top. Grab the supplies to make this project and kick off getting your kitchen more organized this year. If you love mason jars, give this quick and easy project a try. It will also work for organizing in other rooms of your home. Just quickly erase the chalkboard front and organize with this great wood box.
- Unfinished Wood Planter Box
- Chalkboard Paint
- Wide Mouth Mason Jars (3 needed)
- Paint Brush
- Chalk Marker (recommended but not required)
I decided to use chalkboard paint on the planter so that I could easily change out the labels. Just paint the wood with a few coats until you have complete coverage. Be sure to follow the directions on the label of the paint for conditioning the paint before use.
Write on your labels with a chalk marker. The chalk marker is easier to use and also will not rub off. You can however remove it with a wet rag or sponge. It is perfect for labeling anything you want to organize. You can use regular chalk if you have it on hand, just use caution to not smudge your labeling.
I love using mason jars in my home especially for organization like these mason jar DIY storage containers with silver leaf knobs. I am off to get the rest of my kitchen in order. Something about the New Year makes me want to eliminate clutter and get my house in order!
