If you have little ones, try making this truck shapes busy bag. This is the perfect busy bag idea to keep those preschoolers occupied while you run errands, are out to dinner, anytime you need to keep the little ones occupied. It is also super easy to make! We recommend this toy only for children 3 years old or older due to the small pieces.
- Printable Truck Shapes (download and print 2 copies)
- Computer and Printer
- Foamies Sheets
- Felt Scrap Pack
- No-Sew Fabric Glue
- 6×6 Tote Bag (in the color of your choice)
- Laminator with Laminating Sheets
Cut one of the printed pages into equal sized cards and put them inside a laminating sheet with a little bit of room around each one. Laminating these cards is optional but will make them last longer. If you do not have access to a laminator, print on heavy duty cardstock instead.
With the remaining printed sheet, cut all of the shapes out with scissors. Then lay each shape on a piece of foam and trace.
Cut out all shapes from foam with scissors until you have enough foam shapes to complete all four trucks. I used a variety of colors for each truck.
I thought it would be fun to decorate the front of the bag as well. I used the cut out shapes for one of the trucks and traced onto felt. I then cut those out and used fabric glue to adhere into place on the front of the tote bag. Set aside to dry completely.
