Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and I am sharing a fun and easy craft you can do with the kids. This colorful rainbow banner is really easy to make and only requires a few supplies!
Supplies needed to make your own tissue paper rainbow banner:
- Tissue Paper
- Shamrock Foam Stickers
- Glue
- Hole Punch
- Rainbow Banner Printable < click to print
- Ribbon
Step one. Start by printing and cutting out the banner shape and hole punch. You will need to print two copies of the printable. Then, cut your tissue paper into small squares. My squares were no bigger than an inch.
Step two. Crumple up the tissue paper and glue onto banner shape. Anyone remember doing this in elementary school? It totally brought me back! You can also opt to not crumple up and just lay the tissues flat. Whatever your little one wants to do to cover the banner. Have fun with it!
Step three. Once you filled up your shape with tissue, place a big glittery shamrock on top. The shamrocks are stickers so you can just press the sticker right onto the shape. No extra gluing required.
Step four. Weave in some ribbon through the holes to string up your rainbow banner. That’s it! You are done!
Hang up and enjoy that rainbow goodness! I just love those glittery shamrocks!
Have a great St. Patrick’s Day!
