We are so excited to share these adorable homemade bubble wands with you, but first meet our guest blogger!
We are thrilled to have Heather, from Twin Dragonfly Designs, guest posting for us today! Please show Heather some love by visiting her awesome blog and keep in touch with her on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
With summer nearly here, now is a great time to create interactive projects with the kids that can be used all season long. Try tapping into your child’s creativity with their love of a favorite character. That’s what we did when we created these Mario & Luigi perler bead homemade bubble wands.
Supplies needed to make your own homemade bubble wands:
Step 7: Cover the beaded character with white ironing paper and use the iron to melt the perler beads together. Melt the tops of the beads until the holes begin to close. Repeat on the other side of the project.
When the homemade bubble wands have cooled simply dip them into bubble solution for hours of bubble making fun! We made a bubble solution using dish soap and a bit of warm water. It worked like a charm.
Our kids absolutely love playing with perler beads! I think that it is because there are so many fun designs that can be created. The sky is the limit! What would you make with these fun craft supplies?
