Are you getting your Halloween decor out yet? The weather has just turned in my neck of the woods, and we’re just starting to think about Halloween crafts! These spiderweb Halloween crafts for kids are super fun. The kids will love helping to create these webs using craft sticks and yarn. You can hang them up or place them in vignettes for easy decor.
- 4.5 inch Wood Craft Sticks
- Silver Paint and Paintbrush
- Aleene’s Craft Glue
- White Yarn
- Plastic Spiders (I raided my fake cobwebs for a few)
I decided to paint my sticks so that they had a little shine to them. You can leave them plain – or try colored crafts sticks and coordinating yarn! Once they dried, I glued three together in the center to make my spiderweb form.
Keep working your way around, making sure to space the yarn slightly apart – like a real spiderweb. When you fill the form out to the ends of your sticks, tie a knot. You can cut off any excess. The number of times you go around the form (and ultimately, the amount of yarn you use) will depend on your spacing.
Each spiderweb only takes about 5 minutes of active craft time, and you can set it aside in between painting and gluing. You can also prep these Halloween crafts for kids forms ahead of time for impatient kids. 🙂
