I combined my passion for miniatures and steampunk to create this fun little snowman craft pin. Isn’t he adorably industrial? This fun winter project is so easy to make that you won’t be able to stop at just one…you’ll find yourself making a whole collection of snowmen to wear or to decorate your desk with.
- Mini Glass Bottle
- Seed Beads (I used cream)
- Pin Backs
- 1 inch Durafoam Ball
- Diamond Dust Glitter
- Glue Gun
- Baker’s Twine
- Various Steampunk Findings & Adhesive Gems
Step one: Fill the bottle with beads. Glue the pin back to the back of the bottle.
Step two: Gently roll the Durafoam ball in your hand to make it smaller and more compact. Carve a small hole in the bottom to glue the ball to the cork top.
I used scrapbooking pins for the eyes, a rolled piece of copper sheet to make the nose, and cut a bead spacer in half for the mouth. The hat is a washer and a nut glued together.
I can’t wait to pin this fun little snowman craft to my jacket lapel. I might even use it as a scarf pin! He’s so cute to look at that right now he just sits on my craft desk and makes me smile while I work. I think I need to make him some friends, don’t you?
