Stacked Book Necklace {Teacher Gift Idea}

Today’s project is perfect for that end-of-the-year (can’t-believe-you-survived!) Teacher Appreciation gift.

A stacked book necklace:

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-UnleashedI found a similar book necklace selling at Anthropologie– but it was way out of my budget, so I made my own!

Supplies needed to make your own stacked book necklace:supply-list

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-Unleashed-1Open your package of mini books. They are the cutest things! Real pages and everything. Pick three books for your stack.

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-Unleashed-2Using a glue dot, secure each book in your stack. I chose to make mine a little crooked rather than perfectly stacked to add some character.

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-Unleashed-3Add an apple to the top of the stack.

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-Unleashed-4Using a thick needle, or quilling tool- begin making a hole through your apple, and your book stack. Try to make the hole centered as much as you can.

Once you have created a hole through the entire stack, add your head pin. String your stack from the bottom up- making the head of the head pin flush with the bottom book.

Using jump rings, attach a clasp to your book necklace chain- and attach your stacked book pendant to the necklace.

DIY-book-necklace-Crafts-Unleashed-1A charming book necklace- sure to earn you an A+ from your favorite teacher!

    This is adorable. I don’t have children, so don’t need teacher gifts. However, I will be making a similar version of this necklace. Pinned for later. Thanks!
