I am always obsessed with hair products and accessories because I have a lot of curly hair. I am always looking for the next awesome thing to tame this ‘situation.’ 😉 Enter the idea for these sparkly bobby pins! You can customize these for your little girl or yourself. Everyone deserves some bling. Let’s get started!
Step 1: Spread a bit of E-6000 glue across the top of the bobby pin. You can do this with the tip of the glue but it comes out of the tube very quickly. I suggest putting a bit of glue on scrap paper and then applying the glue with a toothpick.
Step 2: Place a row of 11 rhinestones on top of the glue. This glue takes awhile to dry so you can move them about as needed while you are placing them. After this step, let the glue dry according to instructions.
Step 3: Pull a strip of embroidery floss through the middle of the bobby pin.
Step 4: Tie a knot at the end of the floss and the end of the bobby pin. Wrap the floss once around the knot and glue down with a tiny bit of E-6000.
Step 6: Just before the last rhinestone, wrap the floss twice.
Step 7: Glue the floss down with a tiny bit of E-6000 and then cut off the excess.
You’re done! So easy!
Just an FYI – these are awesome bobby pins. Regardless of how you decorate them, they give a super strong hold, even to my unruly curls!
