Creating jewelry is something I simply love to do. Next to canning jams and jellies, jewelry is my favorite gift to give. Necklaces and earrings are a really personal gift when handmade. Jewelry lets the recipient know that you pay attention to their style and colors they wear. It does not take long to make the pieces for me. But the shopping, now that is another story. I can get lost in the bead section. This piece is feminine and flirty and was inspired by my friend Keri Lee.
- Jewelry Tool Set
- Ivory Flowers
- Cream 8mm Pearls
- Pink Glass Beads
- Boho Wood Flourish
- Copper Chain
- Copper Eye Pins and Jump Rings
- Copper Clasp
If you notice in the picture, I have a strand of aqua crystals. I intended to make a pink and aqua necklace. But sometimes when you are creating, the piece goes in another direction. So, I sorted through some of my left over beads and found the cream pearls and I thought they were perfect – like strawberries and cream.
Then, I added jump rings to the wood flourishes. You can buy or make your own jump rings. To see how to make your own, click HERE to see the tutorial.
Next, you will thread the beads on the eye pin.
Next I shortened the eye pin. You can cut them all at the same time or cut them individually. Form a simple loop at the end. For a video on how to make simple loops, click HERE.
